IEEE AIUB Student Branch has championed as the largest Student Branch in Bangladesh Section for the past few years, boasting over 220+ members. With dozens of active members, dedicated volunteers, hard-working executives and supportive faculty members all bonded together as one, we are nothing short of a family. A family that continues to grow and expand with each passing day and one that we would be glad to have you as a part of. IEEE AIUB Student Branch was established in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is a registered Student Branch under the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), based in Piscataway, NJ, USA. The Student Branch was officially formed at 12th December, 2006, under the supervision of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB. Despite remaining dormant for the year 2008, and starting with just a handful of members with minimal activities, there was a dream. A hope and a drive to “advance technology for the benefit of humanity”.

Pursuing that ambition, over the years 2009-2012, the team of IEEE AIUB Student Branch members, volunteers and executives alike – notably Jumanah Shireen Khan, Counselor (2009, 2010); Rehnuma Mamun, Chairperson (2010); Partha Protim Das, Mentor (2011) and Md. Shahjalal Shaon, Chairperson (2011, 2012) – developed the Student Branch and brought it up. In the following years, the next-generation of IEEE AIUB Student Branch set a vision and a target to reach the very top. All those years of hard work, passion and dedication culminated in what the Student Branch stands for in its present time and current glory. We would like to thank everyone and all the people behind the success of the Student Branch today. Needless to say, without them and their support, that dream sought by the founder members of IEEE AIUB Student Branch would remain unfulfilled. We salute them and all their hard work.
