On 5th October 2019, IEEE AIUB Student Branch in collaboration with IEEE Industry Application Society (IAS) AIUB Student Branch Chapter and Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering (FE), AIUB successfully organized an industrial tour to Reverie Power and Automation Engineering Ltd. The tour was led by Dr. Md. Hasan Imam, Counselor, IEEE AIUB Student Branch; Senior Asst. Professor, FE, AIUB, Mr. Farhadur Arifin, Associate Professor, FE, AIUB, Dr. Md. Rifat Hazari, Assistant Professor, FE, AIUB and Dr. Ferdous Jahan Shaun, Assistant Professor, FE, AIUB. The participants were warmly greeted by Mr. Zikrul Hasan, Senior Manager, MV/LV Division, Reverie Power and Automation Engineering Ltd. and Mr. Mehedi Hasan, Manager, R&D Department, Reverie Power and Automation Engineering Ltd. They discussed about different successful projects of the company and also presented a short video about the company showing their agendas and future goals.
After the video presentation, Dr. Md. Hasan Imam initiated the tour by inviting Mr. Mehedi Hasan to act as an educational guide for the students. Mr. Mehedi Hasan divided the participants into two groups and guided them through different wings of the industry, explaining the functions of each wing along with describing different machinery and components incorporated with them. Furthermore, he described how important it is to check the quality of the transformers as those will be used all over Bangladesh. He concluded the tour with a question and answer session. At the end of the tour, Dr. Md. Hasan Imam delivered the concluding speech and thanked IEEE AIUB Student Branch for organizing an educational industrial tour for the students and Reverie Power and Automation Engineering Ltd. for hosting the tour. After that, he presented tokens of appreciation to the executive team of Reverie Power and Automation Engineering Ltd. and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
