On 14th February 2018, IEEE AIUB Student Branch hosted a workshop titled “Google Mobile Site Certification Exam” which was organized by Google Developer Group Sonargoan. The workshop took place in room no. CL11, Annex 2, American International University – Bangladesh. The goal of the workshop was to give an insight of the Google Mobile Site Certification Exam to the participants. It was a very knowledgeable venture for enthusiasts who were interested in mobile website development.
The first speaker of the event, Mr. Imtiaj Ahammad, Lead Trainer, GDGs, took the stage and started off with a presentation on the mission and vision of Google Developer Groups (GDGs) and its different aspects. He explained to the participants how the organization strives to support new developers. Afterwards, he explained different aspects of the mobile site and web page. He then demonstrated to the participants how to select and organize contents in the right manner.
Next on the stage was Mr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Co-manager, GDGs, who initiated his speech by explaining to the participants the importance of Google Mobile Site Certification Exam in order to become a mobile site developer. Afterwards, he discussed the question pattern, exam guideline, and certification process at length.
Later, an online exam was conducted by the speakers. The exam consisted of 65 questions over 90 minutes based on what was discussed earlier by the speakers. The participants required to answer 80% (52 questions) correctly in order to pass the exam.
Afterwards, Kazi Ahmed Asif Fuad, Motivator, IEEE AIUB Student Branch; Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, gave certificate and token of appreciation to Mr. Imtiaj Ahammad and Mr. Md. Mehedi Hasan respectively which marked the end of the workshop.
